History of Hot Water Heat Pumps

In the late 1980's we introduced a high-tech corrosion resistant tubing into our swimming pool Heat Pumps

This technological advancement addressed a significant problem found with existing grades of tubing within the heat exchanger product part, which were failing due to corrosion when proper pool balance wasn't maintained.

Over the years we've continued to improve our products and today, all Performance Plus Swimming Pool and Spa Heat Pumps are fitted with our uniquely designed titanium tube heat exchanger for the ultimate in performance and durability.

Servicing your heat pump water heater

Hot Water Heat Pumps recommends that you service your heat pump water heater on an annual basis. Not only will this ensure the optimal ongoing performance of your heat pump, but it is also a requirement for qualifying for a Hot Water Heat Pumps Enhanced Warranty - see Warranties section below.

Hot Water Heat Pumps Ltd provides service not only for our own brands but also for all other brands of heat pump water heaters. We charge $80 + GST per hour plus a travel charge for the greater Auckland region. Service agents will have their own rates which you should query with them.

Warranties

Hot Water Heat Pumps Ltd warrants to the original owner and installation site that it's heat pump water heaters to be free of defects in materials and workmanship.

Performance Plus Warranty
A 24 Month Parts and Labour* Warranty covers standard system componentry including Compressor, Evaporator Coil, Heat Exchanger and Refrigeration Systems.

A 10 Year Commercial Anti-Corrosion Warranty covers the Titanium Tube within the Heat Exchanger (HX), and this increases to a full 30 Year Residential Anti-Corrosion Warranty for residential applications.

Thermo Plus Warranty

A 24 Month Parts and Labour Warranty covers standard system componentry including Compressor, Evaporator Coil, Heat Exchanger and Refrigeration Systems. 

A 10 year Residential Anti-Corrosion Warranty covers the Titanium Tube within the Heat Exchanger.

Econergy Warranty

A 6 Year Parts warranty covers the Econergy unit.

The sealed refrigeration system including the compressor, and the expansion device have a 6 year parts warranty. Other parts including the water system, and electronics have a 3 year parts and labour warranty at which point the warranty reverts to "Back to Base" for a final 3 years.
